New Delhi, Feb 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a virtual rally in five districts of Uttar Pradesh on Friday to campaign for the state’s forthcoming Assembly elections.
The rally, which will take place in Aligarh, Noida, Meerut, Ghaziabad, and Harpur, will span 23 assembly constituencies across the state.
The BJP has designated a total of 122 sites where people will be able to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual address.
With the norms of the electoral commission loosened, the BJP wants to see over one lakh people vote in person in various areas.
Prime Minister Modi had already opened the BJP’s campaign in Uttar Pradesh by holding a virtual rally for five districts that will vote in the first and second phases of the assembly elections on January 31.
The first phase of voting in Uttar Pradesh will take place on February 10, followed by the second phase on February 14, the third phase on February 20, the fourth phase on February 22, the fifth phase on February 27, the sixth phase on March 3, and the seventh phase on March 7.
The results of the election will be announced on March 10.
