The ruling party and its allies have won 273 of the state’s 403 assembly seats, ensuring the state’s survival for the second time. Yogi Adityanath has set a new record by becoming the first chief minister in 37 years to return to power for a second term.

The BJP also won 4/5 of the state elections in Uttarakhand, Manipur, and Goa. However, the question of who will head Goa and Uttarakhand remains unanswered.
