Ramgarh, April 1: The body of Indradev Ganjhu, 22, son of Bikol Ganjhun and a resident of Sidhwar Khurd.was found in the forest on Thursday night in his village under Barkakana OP area. The relatives alleged that he was murdered. The matter is said to be related to a love affair.
The relatives of the deceased have accused the girl’s family members of beating him to death due to a love affair. The father of the deceased and his family members said that Indradev had gone out of the house on Thursday evening.
In the night, a village girl reached his house and told them that in front of the brick kiln, her family members are beating Indradev in the Panchgadhwa forest, and urged them to save him. After this, the family and other people of the village reached Pachgarhwa forest where they found Indradev lying unconscious on the ground. They lifted him up and took him to the hospital where the doctor declared him dead. After that, they reached the village with the body.
Upon receiving the information about the incident, the police reached the house of the deceased. The deceased’s family demanded the arrest of the accused. Police assured them of action, took the dead body in their possession and sent it to Ramgarh for postmortem. The Barkakana OP in charge is interrogating the girl, her brother Suman, her father Karu Mahato and other family members in the case.
During the interrogation, the girlfriend said that Indradev had called her to meet him in the forest. Both loved each other but his marriage had not been fixed. On meeting in the forest, he was talking to commit suicide together. Even after persuasion, he did not agree and started hanging himself with a scarf. She tried to stop him, but he pushed and assaulted her as well. After this, she ran away and reached the house of Sidhwar Khurd and informed the family about the matter.
Bikol Ganjhu has given an application in Barkakana OP in which he said that his son was called under a conspiracy and beaten to death. He has requested the OP in charge of justice. SDPO Dr Virendra Chaudhary said that the police are probing the matter. Whether the matter is of murder or suicide has not been cleared yet but he confirmed that the love affair existed.
