Youth shot at by bike-borne criminals in Mango, Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, April 28: A 28-year-old youth was shot at by two bike-borne criminals under the Ulidih thana area of Mango on Friday afternoon.

The gun-shot attack took place when the victim identified as Mohammed Irshad was riding back home at Hayatnagar in Ulidih.

Irshad has sustained a bullet injury in the chest and has been rushed to MGM medical college hospital for treatment.

The incident took place when the victim who is an electrician by profession was returning back home for lunch. As he took a turn on his bike for Hayatnagar, the attackers intercepted his bike and shot at him from close range before fleeing the scene.

As the victim fell down in a pool of blood, some of the local residents rescued him and rushed him to the medical college hospital for treatment.

OC, Ulidih Thana, Sonu Kumar reached the hospital after carrying out the spot inspection.

“We are trying to take a statement from the gun-shot victim despite the fact that his condition is serious. The attackers would be detected soon, ” said Kumar while talking to lagatar24.com.
