Ranchi, June 25: Preparations have started for the state Shravani fair starting from July 4 in Deoghar. The police administration has become fully ready for the thousands of devotees who come daily in Shravani Mela to offer water to Baba Bhole easily with better security arrangements.
During this, 8,650 policemen will be deployed in the Deoghar district on the instructions of the police headquarters to ensure that there is no lapse in law and order. The order related to this has been issued by the Police Headquarters IG Abhiyan. The deployment of policemen has been done from June 30 to September 1, 2023. The 8,650 policemen include 120 Inspectors, 726 Sub Inspectors and ASIs, 1080 Havildars Armed Police, 6,200 Havildars and Reserve Lathi Force, 514 women police personnel besides two assault groups, two bomb disposal squads, two tear gas squads, two ATS teams and two Dog squad will also be deployed. On the other hand, on September 2, all the police force will be sent back to their native district and corps.
21 OPs (out posts) have been made for better security arrangements in Shravani Mela. In which Dumma, Somnath Bhawan, Sarasani, DAV Khijuria, Hindi Vidyapeeth, Sivagangai, Baba Mandir, Q Complex, Nehru Park, Jalsar Park, Bed College, Barmasia, Kumudni Ghosh Road, Nandan Pahar Circle, Singhwa Water Treatment Plant, Railway Over Bridge, Chamardih, Kumaitha Stadium, Belabagan Police Line, Trikut Pahar Forest Department Guest House are included. And 11 TOP (Traffic Out Post) have been made at Kothia Stand, Chaupa Mod, Ghormara, Hathgarh, Koriyasa, Municipal Library, R Mitra School, Rikhia, Dardmara, Rohini Mod, Chaudharydih.
