Patna, Dec 12: In Bihar’s Bhagalpur, the son of a Janata Dal (United) MLA has been accused of opening fire on a crowd of people over a land dispute, injuring four of them.

However, the MLA has denied his son’s involvement, claiming he merely hurried there after learning there was a brawl nearby. The victim has identified the MLA and claimed that he was solely to blame for the dismissal.

There, he allegedly opened fire, hurting four persons. Fighting broke out because 19 katthas of Lal Bahadur Singh’s land were being illegally occupied.

He was hurt in the incident together with his wife Madhuri, son Veer Bahadur, son’s friend Sharad alias Ravi. All were admitted to Mayaganj Hospital for treatment. After being wounded in the mouth, Sharad alias Ravi has been sent to Siliguri for medical care.
