New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the NDA parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday, asserted that the Opposition made a strategic mistake by demanding a debate on Operation Sindoor. He claimed the Opposition “shot itself in the foot” during the Parliament session and ended up being badly cornered in the discussion.
PM Felicitated for Strong Leadership
The meeting witnessed a grand welcome for PM Modi with chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’, celebrating his leadership during Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev, both launched following the Pahalgam terror attack. The NDA passed a resolution praising his “visionary statesmanship and resolute command” that inspired unity and national pride across the country.
Operation Sindoor and Global Diplomatic Push
NDA leaders hailed the armed forces’ precision strike on terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, describing it as non-escalatory yet firm. The resolution also noted PM Modi’s global diplomatic initiative where 59 MPs visited 32 countries to highlight India’s anti-terror position and build international consensus. The MPs paid tribute to the 26 victims of the Pahalgam attack and called the strike a symbol of India’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism.
Opposition Criticised for Self-Sabotage
PM Modi remarked that the Opposition was insistent on harming its own credibility by raising the Operation Sindoor debate, suggesting they underestimated the strength of the government’s stance. He described the Opposition’s miscalculation as a clear political misstep.
