Patna: Samrat Choudhary will take oath today as the 24th Chief Minister of Bihar at Lok Bhavan. Governor Syed Ata Hasnain will administer the oath of office and secrecy. Political activity has intensified in the city ahead of the ceremony.
Two Deputy Chief Ministers to Join New Government
Along with Samrat Choudhary, Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav will also take oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. In the first phase, only these three leaders will be sworn in, while cabinet expansion will take place later. Several senior leaders, including JP Nadda, Chirag Paswan, and Jitan Ram Manjhi, are expected to attend the event.
Traffic Diversions Announced Across Patna
Major traffic restrictions have been imposed due to the swearing-in ceremony. Taylor Road, Deshratna Marg, and Circular Road have been completely closed. Vehicle movement from Zoo Gate No. 2 to Rajendra Chowk has also been stopped. The restrictions began at 7 am and will remain in force until the event concludes.
Heavy Security Deployed in Sensitive Areas
More than 700 police personnel have been deployed across Patna. Barricades have been set up at major intersections and sensitive zones. No vehicle is being allowed without checking. Special surveillance has been arranged around key government areas, with CCTV cameras monitoring all activities to prevent any untoward incident.
