New Delhi, Oct.23: Singapore has removed India from its travel restriction list along with Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Travelers would, however, still be forced to undergo quarantine at a designated facility upon entering the nation.

From October 26, any travellers with a 14-day prior travel history to Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, or Sri Lanka would be able to enter and transit via Singapore. Category IV border measures will apply to these travelers.

Notably, Singapore had previously announced that all travelers with a 14-day travel history to Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, or Sri Lanka will not be allowed to enter or transit via Singapore.

Officials say the new step is the result of an assessment of the Covid-19 situation in these nations.
