New Delhi, Oct 11: The Chinese Army has not agreed to the constructive suggestions of the Indian Army to resolve the conflict on areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The 13th round of talks concluded without any results, the Indian Army said on Monday.
The army said that the talks between the two sides during the meeting focused on ending the standoff along the LAC in eastern Ladakh. Along with the LAC, the long pending issues also include the deadlock in Daulat Beg Oldi and Demchok areas.
According to the statement issued by the army, the Indian side said that this situation of standoff on the LAC is due to China. The Chinese side continues to unilaterally attempt to change the status quo and violate bilateral agreements. In such a situation, it is necessary that China takes appropriate steps regarding these areas, so that peace can be restored in the rest of the areas along with the LAC.
Meanwhile, the Chinese Army has also issued a statement after a meeting in which it has said that New Delhi’s unreasonable and unrealistic demands have added difficulties to the negotiations to resolve the matter. The Chinese side has said India should not misjudge the situation but instead the Indian side should cherish the hard-won situation along the LAC.
