Daltonganj, Dec 9: Chief minister Hemant Soren arrived in Daltonganj from Garhwa last evening and went to the Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar Hostel where he interacted with the inmates assuring the Dalit students of all help from his government.
The CM asked the accompanying officials for the renovation of the hostel. He said the government would arrange for a cook besides security personnel to have a watch and vigil.
He told the inmates that it is in his tenure that the JPSC is coming out unscathed as it has published two results so far and none of the two is controversial. He reminded the younger generation of how hostile forces are trying to destabilise his government saying, “I am here to give such forces a befitting reply.”
The chief minister also garlanded the statue of Ambedkar. He then came down to the Daltonganj railway station where he gave away around 200 blankets, said the Sadar SDO Rajesh Kumar Sah.
The chief minister has a hectic schedule for the day today in Daltonganj. He has a block level interactive session with the officials of the two districts – Garhwa and Palamu. Thereafter, he is to address the public and his party at the Shivajee Maidan where 5,000 chairs have been arranged.
Palamu president of JMM Rajinder Kr Sinha informed, “We have brought in three camels from Chhatisgarh. These three camels took four days to reach Daltonganj. Our cadres are decorating the camels.”
He added that they have arranged for ten horses. The horses have come from Palamu’s two blocks – Chainpur and Paton. Camels and horses will be in the Khatiyani Johar Yatra in Daltonganj.”
A top campaigner for earthenware Avinash Dev said, “Under the aegis of the Mati Kala Board, I and my people will walk down to the Shivajee Maidan where the chief minister Hemant Soren has his public address today to highlight the need to replace plastic with as much as of the earthenware.”
