Rajnath Endorses PM Modi’s Savings Appeal
Rajnath Singh highlighted PM Modi’s recent appeal to citizens to save energy and reduce unnecessary expenditure, calling it an important step toward self-reliance and energy security. He said the Prime Minister’s message about conservation during difficult global conditions carries significant weight and that collective public participation will help the country navigate global disruptions and challenges.
What PM Modi Had Said
PM Modi had made the appeal during an event in Telangana on Sunday, noting that US-Iran tensions and the situation around the Strait of Hormuz could impact global economies and oil markets. He asked citizens to reduce petrol, diesel, and gas consumption, use public transport wherever possible, adopt carpooling, and avoid private vehicles for short distances to reduce India’s dependence on foreign oil.
