Ranchi, Dec.28: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today committed to provide a better health system in the New Year.
The commitment came during an interaction with a section of the web and Hindi print media journalists at his official residence. The interaction was organised to make media people aware of the achievements of the state government in two years and satisfy their queries about governance.
“Naye varsh Mein ek accha swasthya pranali de payenge (We can provide a good healthcare system in the New Year),” Soren said before saying that ‘health and education’ are the ‘core sectors’ of his government.
While making a commitment, he also shared the problem which is creating hindrance in the development of the health sector.
“Makarjal ke tarah ho gayi hai vyavastha. Solution kahan hai pata hi nahi chal paata hai (the system has become like a spider’s web. It is difficult to find where the solution is),” Soren said without elaborating the details.
He also shared the initiatives the government has taken to fight the corona pandemic. Asked about the genome sequencing machine, he said “site has been selected at RIMS and it will be brought soon for installation.”
Asked about the reason behind the delay, CM Soren asked the media person to have patience. ‘TruNat and Covas machine was installed when the second wave of the corona pandemic ended,” he said laughing.
He, however, remained tight-lipped when asked about the focus of the year.
“It is confidential so far,” Soren said when asked: “This year your focus was on employment. What is the focus of next year?”
The CM during his interaction said the impact of some of the work which is being done by him will reflect in 30-35 years. When asked about one of them, the CM said: “Government has planned to run English medium schools also with Hindi medium schools in the state. In the first phase, as many as 80 English medium schools will be opened in 24 districts.”
Apart from this, the CM also said that he has planned to establish a digital skill university to pave the path of employment.
Counting achievement on the occasion, he mentioned the universal pension scheme and said out of 3.68 lakh applied for the pension order for transfer of amount to as many as 2.45 lakh has been given so far.
He also mentioned ‘Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar’ programme among other achievements under which he said the government received as many as 35 lakh applications from the people taking different demands and complaints and disposed of 25 lakh of them on the spot.
Asked why all appointment processes are being disputed in the state, Soren held outsiders responsible for the same saying “Jharkhand has become a good ‘charagah (grazing field)’ for all and thus unlike other states, appointment processes get disputed here and one should think about this.”
Earlier on an occasion, CM Soren had compared the union government with Ravan Sarkar while interacting with a section of English print media journalists. When asked about the same, he first laughed and then clarified his statement saying he meant to say that the union government has covered his face with several masks and has many faces.
On a question about taking HEC, he said that if the state government had any experience of running industries it must have taken over it so far. He, however, did not share his idea or plan but said that HEC management is behaving like ‘Mahajan’ and everyone knows how he handles Mahajan expressing his dissatisfaction over the situation prevailing in the mother of industries.
