Jharkhand Police approves Rs 1.23 crore for treatment of 438 policemen

Ranchi, March 27: With the approval of Rs 1.23 crore, Jharkhand Police Assistance and Welfare Fund will benefit 438 policemen and their dependents.

Money has been approved from the welfare fund for the treatment of such policemen, who had applied for treatment at the police headquarters. In the meeting of the Central Management Committee held under the chairmanship of the DGP, a separate amount has been approved from the Police Assistance and Welfare Fund for medical treatment to those policemen and their near relatives.

The amount for treatment has been fixed from five thousand rupees to two lakhs. After the approval of the applications of 438 policemen, an amount of 1.23 crores has been allocated for the treatment. In this regard, on the orders of the DGP, the DIG (Budget) has directed SPs of the respective districts and various wings of the police to release the amount where the beneficiary policemen are stationed.
