J&K: Indian Army foils infiltration bid in Kupwara, gun down one terrorist

Kupwara, Oct 26: The Indian Army on Wednesday stopped an attempt to cross the Line of Control into Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara, killing one terrorist in the process.

At Sudpora in the Karnah sector along the LoC, a gunbattle between security personnel and terrorists broke out, sources said PTI. One terrorist was killed in the exchange of fire.

When the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police stopped a similar infiltration attempt in Kupwara on September 26, two terrorists were killed. The militants who were slain in a gun duel with security personnel left behind pistols and grenades.
