Ramgarh, Oct 17: A  tribal girl was gang-raped by her boyfriend and his two friends at Patratu under Ramgarh district.

Police have arrested two accused Sanjay Bhuiyan and Arun Bhuiyan. Raids are being conducted to arrest the main accused Harsh Das, the girl’s boyfriend. Their age is said to be between 19-20 years. All three are the residents of Railway Steam Colony, Patratu. The victim is a resident of Urimari of Hazaribagh district.

SDPO Virendra Choudhary said that the incident took place on Oct 8 at an under-construction residence in Railway Steam Colony. The girl lodged an FIR against Harsh Das, Sanjay Bhuiyan, and Arun Bhuiyan in this case on Sunday, Oct 16.

Police said that the victim had a love affair with Harsh Das. At the behest of Harsh, Sanjay brought the girl to the steam colony by bike where Harsh was present with his friend Arun. Then all three raped the girl.

After the incident, the girl informed her family. Later, an attempt was made to settle the matter. But when things did not work out, an FIR was lodged after eight days.
