Ranchi, March 8: After the death of a child in the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), the agitated relatives created a ruckus at the main gate with the body in their lap.

Saryu Yadav, a resident of Giridih, said that he had come to RIMS on Monday with his three-year-old grandson Aryan. Here he was admitted to the Pediatric Department.

The child needed ICU, but the other children were admitted there without giving space there and Aryan was admitted to the general ward. Negligence was done in the treatment which led to his death, they said.

The relatives of the child alleged of being thrashed in the hospital. Crying Saryu said that he had come here with the hope of saving the child, but have to return home with his dead body.

On the other hand, the security personnel posted in RIMS and the police of Bariatu TOP arrived as soon as there was a ruckus on the RIMS campus. After persuading the aggrieved family members, the police sent the dead body home.
