Moscow, Feb 25: Russia’s state civil aviation regulator announced on Friday that British airlines are no longer permitted to land at its airports or fly through its airspace.
The decision comes after London put an embargo on Russian flag carrier Aeroflot flights in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“A restriction was introduced on the use of Russian airspace for flights of aircrafts owned, leased or operated by an organisation linked to or registered in the UK,” said the Rosaviatsia aviation authority.

The decision was made “in response to unfavourable judgments by the UK aviation authorities,” according to the statement.
