New Delhi, April 12: Two days after violence erupted on the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), the Union Ministry of Education demanded a full report on Tuesday into the non-vegetarian food served at a hostel.
Notably on Sunday, two student groups a left-wing student union and the RSS linked ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) accused each other of inciting violence on campus and uploaded videos and images to back up their accusations on social media.
The university had also issued a statement on Monday that it has a zero tolerance policy towards any form of violence. Earlier, the Delhi Police announced that they had filed a first information report (FIR) against unidentified Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members.
