VIJAY DEO JHA
Ranchi, Nov 29: Vijay Hansda, a complainant against Jharkhand CM’s representative Pankaj Mishra, has denied the claim of Jharkhand police that he willingly withdrew the complaint against Mishra as it was untrue.
Vijay Hansda is currently in Sahibganj district jail in Arms Act case. His written statement has once again kicked off controversy and disputed the claim of DIG of Dumka range.
The development has come at a time when the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has alleged that Pankaj Mishra who is very influential is using his influence to get the base offense settled or wiped off to avoid further investigation by the ED. Agency insiders have doubted the conduct of Sahibganj police in saving Pankaj Mishra. On this, DIG of Dumka range had issued a press release stating that the Sahibganj police never shielded Pankaj Mishra. In this context DIG referred the case of Vijay Hansda and claimed that it was Vijay Hansda who withdrew his complaint.
Notably, the ED has been investigating the illegal stone mining case against Pankaj Mishra. Vijay Hansda is one of the witnesses of the agency who said that when he tried to lodge an FIR against Pankaj Mishra for carrying illegal mining at Nimbu Pahad. But the police refused to lodge the case.
Later on, Vijay Hansda lodged a court complaint and the local court on July 7, directed Sahibganj police to lodge the FIR. But in the meantime on September 9, Vijay Hansda is said to have requested police not to lodge the case as it was untrue.
Disputing the claim of the police, Vijay Hansda issued a press statement from jail. He alleged Sahibganj police was trying to dismiss his case out of a conspiracy. He said that when he was out of jail the police got his signature on a plain paper which is now being used against him. He further clarified that he has not withdrawn his complaint against Pankaj Mishra.
Vijay Hansda lodged complaint against Pankaj Mishra
Vijay Hansda of Bhavani Chowki had lodged an online complaint against Pankaj Mishra and others for carrying illegal mining at Nimbu Hills. When the Sahibganj police refused to lodge his complaint he approached the local Sahibganj court. The court on July 7, directed the concerned police station to lodge the FIR. But more than four months later, the complaint has not been lodged. Notably, Vijay Hansda is a witness of the ED in the illegal mining case. This case is also under the scanner of the ED. But since no FIR has been lodged by police so far, the ED can’t take up this case. Vijay Hansda was arrested recently in a criminal case.
