Ramgarh, Sept 1: A human skeleton was found trapped between the rocks in the Turi river at Ichak in Hazaribagh district on Wednesday. It is speculated that the deceased may have died 10 to 15 days ago.

Shepherds and khukri pickers saw the skeleton in the river and informed the villagers of Turi and Dadighaghar villages and the local police. Taking immediate action, the police took out the skeleton from the river.

According to some villagers, a shepherd who came to the forest from the nearby village got trapped between the rocks in the Turi river after getting swept away in the water due to excessive rain. The height of the deceased is estimated to be over six feet.

The skeleton has been sent to the Hazaribagh Medical College Hospital where it will be kept for 72 hours for identification then further action will be taken. The flesh has completely separated from the skeleton which is causing problems in identification.

After the recovery, there is an atmosphere of panic in many villages including Suji, Sonpura, Bihari, Mahkol, Turi, Puranpaniya, Dadighaghar and Mazgaon.
