Patna, Nov 30: On the second day of winter session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, there was chaos even before the proceedings of the House commenced.
BJP and RJD MLAs abused each other over the word ‘Tum’ in the campus. Shortly after this, the opposition flayed CM Nitish Kumar when a bottle of liquor was found in the premises.
Leader of opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister.
“This is a very big issue, If liquor is present in the premises of the Assembly, then it is the moral responsibility of the chief minister to quit his post,” said the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader at the assembly.
The House has been adjourned till tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha said that action should definitely be taken over this issue.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar informed the House that a serious note has been taken of the incident.
“I will tell the Chief Secretary and DGP to get an inquiry done. It is not an ordinary thing if the bottles came here. The one who is doing this should not be spared. Strict action should be taken,” said Bihar CM Nitish Kumar in the State Assembly.

Notably, the empty liquor bottles were recovered from under a tree in the Bihar Vidhan Sabha premises earmarked as the parking lot for two-wheelers. Interestingly, the sale and consumption of alcohol were completely banned in Bihar in April 2016.
