New Delhi, Oct 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday arrived in Rome where he is scheduled to attend the G20 Summit. Modi will be there from October 29 to 31.
The PM will also pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his first day of arrival in Rome and will also call on Pope Francis in the Vatican during his two day visit. After this, Prime Minister will be in Glasgow (Scotland) on November1 and 2. There he will attend the high-level segment of COP-26 titled ‘World Leaders Summit’ (WLS) at the invitation of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. 120 heads of states and governments from around the world will be participating in this summit.
In Rome, PM will join other G20 Leaders during the 16th summit in discussions on global economic and health recovery from the pandemic, sustainable development and climate change.
On the sidelines of the G20 Summit, the Prime Minister will also meet leaders of other partner countries and review the progress in India’s bilateral relations with them.
