New Delhi, April 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing the students in the ‘5th Pariksha Pe Charcha’ at the Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi on Friday, April 1.
Pariksha Pe Charcha is an annual event where the PM interact with students, parents and teachers of India and overseas. As the name suggests, he talks about exams and related topics.
According to news agency ANI, the PM first witnessed several exhibition projects made by students across the country at the stadium before the commencement of the fifth edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha.’

Here are some of the highlights of what PM Modi said during the event:
- Today’s program is particularly special to me as I meet you all after a long gap.
- All the queries of the students that might not be discussed here due to time crunch will be answered by me in the Namo App via videos, audio messages and written texts.
- There is no one sitting here who will appear for exams for the first time. We have become exam proof by repeatedly sitting for exams after equal intervals of time. Exams are a stepping stone in our life.
- I want students to stay away from a panic environment during exams. No need to copy friends, just keep doing whatever you do with full confidence and I believe all of you will be able to give your exam in festival mood.
- Whatever happens offline, same takes place online. This means the medium is not the problem. Irrespective of the medium, if our mind is delved into the subject, then it won’t make a difference is grasping things.
- Students should introspect themselves while studying online, whether they actually study or spend time watching reels on social media.
- Online education is based on the principle of attaining knowledge while offline education is regarding sustaining that knowledge and practically applying it further.
- NEP should be called ‘National Education Policy. So many people were involved in drafting the policy. We were brainstorming on it for last 6-7 years. We took advice of teachers & students from far-flung areas along with modern intellectuals.
- Skills are quite important across the world. Technology is not a bane, it should be used effectively. Today students are developing 3D printers & running apps for Vedic mathematics. They’re efficiently using technology.
- Students should not feel they are under pressure from teachers and parents to score good marks. Parents should not inject their dreams into children. They should be allowed to decide their future freely.
- Parents sometimes fail to closely observe the strength and interests of their children. We should understand that every child is blessed with something extraordinary that parents and teachers fail to discover a lot of times.
- God has deprived a disabled person of so many abilities but the disabled have transformed those weaknesses into strengths. Students should introspect & look into as to what are the weaknesses that are hindering them from progressing.
- Students sometimes face difficulties while making important decisions. Students should develop a habit of revising whatever they have learnt in class with their friends. This will help them absorb knowledge together.
- We often connect ‘Dhyaan’ and concentration with Rishi-Muni. We all need that in our everyday life. It teaches us to be present in the moment and concentrate on the task at hand.
