Jamshedpur, Nov 28: India Meteorological Department’s Ranchi centre issued a forecast of dry and clear weather in Jharkhand today.
Weathermen said the dominating north-westerly wind impacted weather conditions in several places including Daltonganj, headquarters of the Palamu region where the Celsius plummeted below eight degrees Celsius.
Ramgarh and Simdega recorded minimum readings of around nine degrees Celsius.
The minimum reading fluctuated between 11- 12 degree Celsius at places like Bokaro, Jamshedpur, Deoghar, Giridih and several other places.
“Various Met readings including satellite imagery suggested clear and dry weather in Jharkhand for the next five days. There will also be no significant changes in both the maximum and minimum temperature in the next two to three days,” said Abhishek Anand, head of Ranchi Met Centre.
Weathermen ruled out the possibility of a western disturbance which might impact Jharkhand’s weather in the next 72- hours.
Ranchi Met Centre, however, issued an alert of fog and mist for the next three days.
